Banda do Vai Quem Quer 2011

A Banda do Vai Quem Quer é uma das mais expressivas manifestações culturais de Rondônia, sendo o maior bloco de Carnaval do estado e possivelmente também da Região Norte do Brasil.

Nessa edição de 2011 a banda comemora o seu 31º aniversário, entretanto com um pouquinho de tristeza, pois poucos dias antes da banda sair às ruas, o seu criador, "O General da banda" Manelão faleceu vítima de um infarto já no Hospital João Paulo II.

A banda arrasta um grande número de brincantes, que além de esbaldarem animação também abusaram da criatividade. Algumas fantasias são bem chamativas, sendo as mais comuns as de super-heróis e monstros, inclusive havia um brincante fantasiado de monstro do pantano de um comercial de cerveja. Mas não pára por aí, também encontrei outros foliões fantasiados de Fred Mercury Prateado (do Pânico na TV), diabinhas e diabinhos, e um mergulhador, entre muitas outras fantasias bem curiosas.

Durante todo o percurso a banda é animada com marchinhas de carnaval cantadas ao vivo pelo intérprete Silvio Santos, também criador do hino da Banda do Vai Quem Quer, que ao ser cantada leva todos ao delírio.

As avenidas do Centro de Porto Velho ficam pequenas para o número exagerado de pessoas que disputam alguns centímetros de espaço em meio à multidão. O empurra empurra embalado ao som das marchinhas é constante, mas quase ninguém reclama, pois o negócio é curtir ao máximo essa grande folia.
